The first question must reasonably want an answer to, but it's a tough one to answer without going into a lot of detail. So for the sake of keeping it simple, these are the basics.

1. Building a website

Our websites typically fall into two categories: Template and Bespoke. Templates are "pre-built" websites that we customise to suit you. More details here.

Templates

The basic template sites start at £150/€175. If you don't want one customised and are happy with the standard design, and you can send us content (words and pictures) to fit into the template exactly as the demo version, then that is all you will pay.

If you want the template customised to suit (colours, layout, etc.) and need us to create and fine-tune your content, this will add to the price. If you also want additional addons added to the site (like a store etc.), this will increase the price further.

Typically we find a template site ends up around the £300-500/€375-600 mark.

Bespoke

Bespoke sites are built from the ground up for you. This means they cost more. We find that typically a bespoke site starts at about £500/€575 with most coming in around the £1000/€1200 mark.  More here.

2. Maintaining A Website (adding content your site)

There are three ways to have us maintain a website for you.

Monthly Contract (Inc. free hosting): The cheapest option. You pay us a monthly retainer then send us the work as required. Contracts start at £100/€120 a month and include free hosting. For this, you get three hours of web work a month. This is our cheapest rate and includes free hosting (c.£20/€25 a month).

Pre-Pay: Like monthly but instead of paying a monthly retainer you pre-pay for a block of hours, typically 8hrs per block at £250/€300 each. You then use these hours as and when you need them. This package doesn't include free hosting.

Pay As You Go: This is the simplest but most expensive way to pay us to maintain your website. You send us the work needed; we give you a time scale which is charged at £40/€47 per hour.
